9.6B ugx Paid in Youth Salaries Since Inception
Hello era92 family,
You won’t believe it, but this first quarter, we’ve noted some crazy numbers!
We put our team to work, just to dig deeper into the impact that we are making, a survey was made to over 1000+ of our students and we were asking one simple question; “How much is your monthly income?”
Each of their responses left me astounded, and I thought this was something I must share with you.
Since 2017, era92 job placement, along with our entrepreneurs and employment partners, has facilitated the payment of an astounding 9.6 B Ugandan Shillings ($2.5 M) in youth salaries. Can you even imagine that?
We believe and have proven that the second step to breaking the cycle of poverty after education and changing someone’s mindset is putting money into their pockets and a job is the most sustainable way to achieve that.
This incredible milestone underscores our commitment to driving positive change through innovation and collaboration. Together, we’re not just creating jobs; we’re transforming lives, empowering communities and completely breaking the cycle of poverty and we’re only just getting started!
era92 fund’s Asset Financing Scheme
Owning a personal computer in today’s modern age is such an underrated privilege at a time when many opportunities can be accessed online. Yet more youth in Uganda still can’t access a personal computer, and many of our students fall behind after they graduate just because they can’t access a computer anymore to develop their careers further.
This is changing for so many through the era92 fund’s Asset Financing Scheme.
Passionate and dedicated students like Bashir are accessing life-changing tools at low-interest loans.
Bashir, a junior software developer says
“With this computer in my hands, my journey to becoming the best software developer has never been so close. I can learn at any time, and access work from anywhere.”
A Quarter Like No Other.
Despite the challenges in the slums, we see immense potential in the youth we serve. The first quarter of this year has been a resounding success for us, demonstrating that our model can uncover the brilliance within our students. As you read this report, you’ll find exciting developments: our largest intake ever at era92 Elevate and our expansion into new communities across Uganda. These achievements bring us closer to our ambitious goal of creating 100,000 skilled jobs for Ugandan youth.
